I was reading Wendell Berry forty years ago, and have tried to arrange my life to slow down, make more consume less. Grew up in a small farm community that mostly succumbed to industrial scale timber, have lived most of my life in the Ozarks. Our generation still has that lived experience connected to an agrarian world, the sense of culture deeper than memory.
